GEORGETOWN, Texas - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team wrapped up its spring break trip with a 7-2 win over Southwestern on Friday afternoon.
The team got off to strong start as it swept the doubles matches to jump out to a 3-0 lead heading into singles. Ricardo DelOlmo-Parrado was off the court first with a 6-0, 6-0 win at five singles. Daniel Henry clinched the win for K at two doubles with a 6-3, 6-3 win.
Other winners for K were Tytus Metzler, a 7-5, 6-1 winner at one and Allen Vinson who rallied to win 2-6, 6-2, 10-4 at three. Elan Dantus also went to three sets before winning 7-6, 3-6, 10-7 at four, and Alex Cadigan who won in straight sets 6-3, 6-2 at six.
The Hornets will kick off league play at home against Olivet on April 4th at 4 p.m.
