CHICAGO, Ill. - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team lost 7-2 at the University of Chicago on Sunday.
The host Maroons won all three doubles matches before winning four of the six singles matches.
Chicago is ranked No. 3 in the nation and No. 1 in the central region. Kalamazoo is ranked No. 25 nationally and No. 6 in the region.
Ian Yi won 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 at one singles. Tytus Metzler won 2-6, 7-5, 1-0(5) at thre singles.
The three doubles team of Tytus Metzler/Alex Cadigan was narrowly defeated 8-7(5).
Kalamazoo returns to action at home against Coe College on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 11 a.m.
