Men's Tennis Defeats Trine in MIAA Tournament Semifinal

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team defeated Trine University 5-0 in an MIAA Tournament semifinal inside the Markin Center on Thursday.

Kalamazoo won all three doubles matches before winning two singles matches to claim the win.

Jai Banerji/Dylan Drier won 8-1 at one doubles. Peter Fitzgerald/Tytus Metzler won 8-3 at two. Daniel Henry/Ian Yi won 8-1 at three.

Metzler won the first match in singles, 6-0, 6-1 at three. Yi clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-0 win at one.

Kalamazoo is scheduled to host Hope in the MIAA Tournament finals on Saturday, May 8 at 1 p.m.
