Men's Tennis Wins MIAA Tournament

Kalamazoo College men's tennis team with 2021 MIAA Tournament trophy.

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team won the 2021 MIAA Tournament championship with a 5-0 win over Hope College at Stowe Stadium on Saturday.

Kalamazoo won all three doubles matches before winning two singles matches to win the match. With the win, Kalamazoo earns the MIAA's automatic bid to the NCAA III Championships.

Ian Yi/Daniel Henry won 8-0 at one doubles. Peter Fitzgerald/Tytus Metzler won 8-2 at two. Jai Banerji/Dylan Drier won 8-3 at three.

Henry was first off the courts in singles with a 6-1, 6-2 win at two. Casey Johnson clinched the match with a 6-2, 6-1 win at four.

NCAA III Championships information will be posted as soon it is announced by the NCAA.
