Kalamazoo College's Peter Fitzgerald was named MIAA Men's Tennis Player of the Week on Monday.

A junior from Petoskey, Mich. (International School of Brussels), Fitzgerald went 2-1 in singles last week. He won 6-0, 6-1 at two singles against Alma and 6-0, 6-0 at three singles against Adrian. He lost narrowly at three singles against Case Western, the nation's top-ranked team, 6-2, 4-6, 10-8. He also went 2-1 at one doubles with teammate Ian Yi, with the only loss a narrow 8-6 against Case Western.

On the season, Fitzgerald is 7-6 in singles overall (4-0 MIAA) and 7-6 at one doubles (4-0 MIAA). 

Kalamazoo (7-6, 4-0 MIAA) is back in action Saturday, April 16 at DePauw University.
