Men's Tennis Sweeps Alma in MIAA Opener

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team won its MIAA opener 9-0 over Alma College Friday inside the Markin Center.

Kalamazoo swept the three doubles matches before winning all six singles matches in straight sets.

Peter Fitzgerald/Gabe Vidinas won 8-0 at one doubles. Adnan Alousi/Casey Johnson won 8-3 at two. Louis Landreau/Tieran Rafferty won 8-1 at three.

Winning 6-0, 6-0 in singles were Vidinas at one and Alousi at three..

Fitzgerald lost just one game at two, winning 6-1, 6-0.

Johnson (4), Landreau (5) and Parker Foster (6) each won in straight sets.

Kalamazoo hits the road for three matches beginning at Emory University on Monday, March 20 at 2:30 p.m.
