Men's Tennis Wins at Adrian

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team improved to 2-0 in the MIAA with a 5-4 win at Adrian Tuesday afternoon.

Kalamazoo won two doubles matches and three singles matches to lead 5-1 before dropping the final three singles matches.

Gabe Vidinas/Peter Fitzgerald won 8-4 at one doubles. Casey Johnson/Adnan Alousi won 8-3 at two. Parker Foster/Alek Hultberg were defeated 8-5 at three.

Johnson won 6-0, 6-2 at four singles followed by Alousi's 6-3, 6-2 win at three. Fitzgerald clinched the win for the Hornets with a 6-1, 6-2 win at two singles.

Vidinas won the first set 6-4 at one singles but trailed 6-5 before retiring with an injury. Foster won the first set 6-3 at five singles before losing 6-1 in the second 16-14 in the tiebreaker. Hultberg was defeated 6-0, 7-5 at six.

Kalamazoo returns to action Wednesday, April 5, at Albion.
