Kalamazoo College's Connor Vogt garnered the Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week Award from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) on Monday for meets through Oct. 25.
A sophomore from Greer, S.C., Vogt placed 65th overall in the Eastern Michigan Fall Classic. He finished the 5K course at the Hudson Mills Metropark in Dexter with a time of 17:06.
The finish marked a personal best time in a 5K race for Vogt., who also posted a personal record 8K time in his last competition.
The cross country teams return to action with the MIAA Championships on Saturday, Oct. 31 in Charlotte, Mich.
