Kalamazoo College's Jackson Kelly was named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association's men's runner of the week Monday afternoon in a release from the conference office.
Jackson led Kalamazoo at the Eastern Michigan University Fall Classic on Friday, Oct. 21st with a time of 16:37.9 in the 5K face. His time was good for a 43rd place finish, beaten only by NCAA Division I runners, redshirted runners and post-graduate runners.
Jackson's time was his fast 5K dating back to his high school running career.
This is the first time in Kelly's career he's been named the MIAA's runner of the week.
