Softball loses games on final day in Florida

CLERMONT, Fla. - The Kalamazoo College softball team lost a pair of games on the team's final day in Florida on Tuesday, falling 6-2 to UW-Oshkosh and 9-0 to North Central.

Kalamazoo took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first against Oshkosh, but gave up two runs in the first and second innings to fall behinid 4-1. Oshkosh outscored Kalamazoo 2-1 over the final five innings for the 6-2 win.

Isabella Kirck, Erin DuRoss, Maddy Sinkovich, Emma Patrash and Querubin Dubois each had a hit for the Hornets.

In the second game North Central scored three runs in the first and third innings to take a 6-0 lead. North Central added a run in the fourth and two more in the sixth.

Emma Patrash and Briana Huisken each had a hit in the game.

Kalamazoo returns to Michigan before traveling to North Park for a doubleheader on Friday, March 27.
