Softball splits at Albion

ALBION, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College softball team split a doubleheader at Albion on Friday.

Albion won the opener 2-1 in eight innings as the game ended on a bases loaded walk.

Albion led 1-0 after the first and held that lead until the sixth when Kalamazoo tied the game on an RBI double by Erin DuRoss that drove in Isabella Kirck.

Five different Hornets had a hit in the game.

Kalamazoo won the second game, 3-2.

Kalamazoo trailed by two in the sixth when Hayleigh Alamo drove in two runs and Kayla Dziadzio drove in the third to lift the Hornets to victory.

Alamo, Dziadzio and DuRoss each had two hits in the game.

Nori Seita earned the win on the mound.

Kalamazoo is scheduled to close out the season Saturday at Chicago.
