Softball splits Monday games in Florida

CLERMONT, Fla. - The Kalamazoo College softball team split a pair of games on Monday in Florida.

Kalamazoo vs. Williams

Kalamazoo lost the Monday opener 11-4 to Williams. The Ephs scored four runs in the first inning and led 7-0 after three. Kalamazoo made it a 7-4 game with four runs in the fourth, but Williams added three runs in the fifth and one more in the seventh for the win.

Anna Majewski had a double and an RBI for the Hornets. Andrea MacMichael and Alyssa Heitkamp also drove in a run for Kalamazoo.

Kalamazoo vs. D'Youville

Kalamazoo won the second game of the day 8-6 over D'Youville. The Spartans led 6-0 after three innings, but Kalamazoo rallied for a run in the fourth, four in the sixth and three in seventh to earn the win.

Anna Majewski, Hayleigh Alamo and Sammi Luzadre each had two hits. Keelin McManus had three RBIs. 

Kalamazoo wraps up its spring trip with a pair of games on Tuesday.
