DEFIANCE, Ohio - The Kalamazoo College softball team lost both games of a doubleheader at Defiance College on Thursday, 15-0 and 5-4.

Game One

Defiance led 1-0 after the first inning before adding 14 runs over the next three innings while holding Kalamazoo scoreless.

Sammi Luzadre had a double while Ashley Schiffer singled in the game.

Game Two

Kalamazoo led 2-0 after the second inning, but Defiance used a 5-run fifth inning to take the lead.

Keelin McManus hit a 2-run home run in the sixth to make it a 5-4 game, but the Hornets were unable to score any more in the sixth or seventh.

Ashley Schiffer was 2-for-3 with a solo home run in the second inning.

Kalamazoo is scheduled to be back in action Saturday, April 13 at Manchester.
