Softball Splits Doubleheader at Adrian

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College softball team split a doubleheader at Adrian College on Saturday. Kalamazoo won the opener 4-0 before falling 9-6 in 10 innings in game two.

Game One

Kalamzoo scored four runs in the third inning while shutting out the Bulldogs. Each team had two hits in the game.

Nikki Gorder had a double while Sam Moss singled and drove in two runs.

Sammi Luzadre struck out a career-high nine while allowing just two hits in the complete-game shutout.

Game Two

Adrian won the second game 9-6 in 10 innings. The score was tied 6-6 after six innings. Adrian scored three runs in the top of the 10th while holding the Hornets scoreless in the bottom half.

Adrian had 12 hits compared to seven by Kalamazoo.

Lucy Hart had three hits including two doubles with two RBIs.

Keelin McManus had two hits including a double with two RBIs.
