Kalamazoo College's Lucy Hart was named MIAA Softball Position Player of the Week on Monday.

A junior from Evanston, Ill. (Evanston), Hart hit .450 (9-for-20) while starting all six games at first base as the Hornets went 5-1 in Florida last week. 

Among her nine hits were two triples and a walk-off home run. She drove in six runs, scored 10 runs, walked five times and was hit by pitch. Hart finished the week with a .577 on-base percentage and a .800 slugging percentage. In the field, she had a 1.000 fielding percentage with no errors at first base.

Kalamazoo (10-4) is scheduled to host Wheaton College in a doubleheader Tuesday, March 29 beginning at 3:30 p.m.
