Softball Defeats Adrian; Game Two Suspended Due to Rain

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College softball team defeated Adrian 8-3 in game one of a doubleheader on Saturday. The second game was suspended in the top of the second inning due to rain. The score was tied 1-1. The game is scheduled to resume on Monday, May 2 beginning at 4 p.m. in Kalamazoo.

Kalamazoo scored seven runs in the first three innings. Adrian got on the board with a run in the fourth before Kalamazoo added two more in the sixth. Adrian scored twice in the seventh leading to the 8-3 final.

Kalamazoo had 10 hits compared to five by Adrian.

Lizzy Rottenberk, Lucy Hart and Sam Moss each had two hits with a double and two RBIs.

Moss struck out nine in the complete game win in the circle.

Game two is tied 1-1 in the top of the second. That game is scheduled to be completed Monday, May 2 beginning at 4 p.m. in Kalamazoo.
