Kozal scores 15 in MIAA opener

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team lost its MIAA opener 81-39 to Adrian College on Wednesday.

Kalamazoo fell behind early and trailed 41-18 at halftime.

Adrian shot 37 percent overall while sinking 12-of-26 3-pointers. Kalamazoo was limited to 20.9 percent overall and 1-of-9 from behind the arc.

Emily Kozal led Kalamazoo with 17 points and five rebounds while making 8-of-10 free throws.

Danielle Simon finished with eight points and three rebounds. Eliza McCall had a team-high eight assists.

Kalamazoo returns to action at Calvin College this Saturday, Dec. 3 at 3 p.m.
