DELAWARE, Ohio – The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team concluded the Ohio Wesleyan Bishop Classic Friday afternoon but the Hornets were unable to come away with a victory as they fell to Goucher 68-61.
The Hornets got off to a strong start with Emily Kozal scoring 13 first half points and leading 28-27 at the break.
A 19-10 third quarter in favor of Goucher, though, allowed the Gophers to regain the lead and they closed the game out down the stretch.
Kozal continued to fill up the stat sheet in the second half as she ended her day with 27 points and six rebounds.
Danielle Simon recorded a double-double scoring 12 and corralling 11 boards. Suzanne Miller scored eight while Sidney Wall and Libby Munoz scored six.
The Hornets get back to MIAA action on Jan. 4 when they host St. Mary's.
