Women's Basketball falls at Albion

ALBION, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team lost 85-61 at Albion on Wednesday.

Kalamazoo trailed 21-10 after the first quarter, but outscored the Britons 22-20 in the second quarter to trail by nine (41-32) at half.

Kalamazoo cut the deficit to five (47-42) a few minutes into the third quarter, but was unable to get any closer as the Britons pulled away towards the end.

Albion shot 53 percent overall compared to 37.1 percent for the Hornets. Kalamazoo held a 37-35 advantage in rebounds, including 14-11 on the offensive end.

Suzanne Miller led Kalamazoo with 15 points and eight rebounds while Emily Kozal finished with 11 points.

Amanda Moss scored nine points while Libby Munoz added eight points with four assists. Mya Gough finished with six points.

Kalamazoo returns home to face Calvin on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 1 p.m.
