ADRIAN, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team lost 75-61 at Adrian College on Wednesday.
Kalamazoo trailed 17-12 after the first quarter. The host Bulldogs extended their lead to double digits in the second quarter and led 38-26 at halftime. Adrian outscored Kalamazoo by one point in each of the final two quarters.
Adrian shot 44.3 percent overall while limitinng Kalamazoo to 29.7 percent. Kalamazoo held a 49-48 edge in rebounds, including 15-7 on the offensive end.
Grace Smith led Kalamazoo with 15 points and 11 rebounds for her sixth career double-double.
Suzanne Miller scored 13 points with four rebounds and two assists while Libby Munoz added 12 points and three rebounds. Danielle Simon scored six points with nine rebounds and a pair of steals.
Kalamazoo returns to action at home on Friday, Jan. 27 with a non-conference game against Oberlin College.
