KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team fell 64-30 to No. 6 Hope at home on Wednesday evening.
Hope jumped out to an early lead before a Kalamazoo run narrowed the gap and kept the Hornets within striking distance in the first half. Kalamazoo went into the half trailing 34-20, but Hope outscored the Hornets 18-6 in the third period to put the game out of reach.
Kalamazoo shot 19.1 percent from the field and did not make a three point shot while Hope connected on 43.9 percent of its attempts from the floor in the game.
Emily Kozal had 10 points and Danielle Simon recorded six points, five rebounds, and five assists to lead K. Francesca Buchanan led all scorers with 17 points.
The Hornets take on Saint Mary's on Saturday on the road at 3 p.m.
