GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Kalamazoo College women's basketball captains Danielle Simon and Emily Kozal were two of a number of Michigan senior standout players who came to together at Cornerstone University for the 12th annual Addix College Basketball All-Star game.
Simon, a point guard from Portland, and Kozal, a shooting guard from Ada, teamed up with other MIAA seniors from Hope and Calvin as well as teammates from Davenport on the Stripes team to take on the Stars team of seniors from Cornerstone, Aquinas, Oakland, and Ferris State. Taking advantage of the special four-point line installed for the game, the Stripes team was victorious with Calvin's Ali Spayde being named team MVP.
Kozal and Simon were both named to the All-MIAA Second Team this season after outstanding senior seasons and careers at Kalamazoo.
