Women's Basketball Falls at Adrian

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team lost 79-59 at Adrian College in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play on Monday.

Kalamazoo trailed 20-15 after the first quarter, but a 23-9 advantage by Adrian in the second quarter gave the Bulldogs a 43-24 halftime lead.

Kalamazoo outscored Adrian 17-14 in the third and cut the lead to 10 (57-47) with 9:10 left in the fourth, but the Hornets were unable to get any closer as Adrian pulled away in the final minutes.

The host Bulldogs shot 41.6 percent overall compared to 33.3 percent for the Hornets. Adrian held a 61-37 advantage in rebounds, including 19-8 on the offensive end.

Kaytlyn Tidey led Kalamazoo with a career-high 25 points just one game after scoring 24 on Saturday. 

Georgie Andrews recorded a double-double with career highs in points (10) and rebounds (12) while also leading the team with four assists.

Sierra Fraser added eight points with nine rebounds.

Kalamazoo returns to action Dec. 28 against Heidelberg at the Wittenberg (Ohio) Tournament.
