KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team dropped its game against Alma by a score of 65-48.

In what was a very competitive first half, the Hornets found themselves down by just two points following the first quarter and three points at halftime (26-23).

Kalamazoo's defense kept it in the game early in the second half as the offense began to struggle. The Scots, however, were able to pull away late in the half due to a 22-point fourth quarter.

The Hornets finished the contest with a 24 percent shooting percentage (18-75) and 22.2 percent from beyond the arc.

Kaytlyn Tidey led Kalamazoo in scoring with 12 points. Tidey added seven rebounds.

Amanda Moss continued her solid play with 10 points and four steals.

The Hornets return to action on Saturday, Jan. 5 when they host Hope at 3 p.m.
