Women's Basketball Falls at No. 6 Trine

ANGOLA, Ind. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team lost 89-29 at No. 6 Trine in the MIAA-opener on Tuesday.

Kalamazoo scored the first two points of the game, but trailed 10-2 after three minutes of play and never recovered. 

Trine scored 56 of its 89 points in the paint while also sinking 15-of-19 free throws. The Thunder shot 48.6 percent overall while limiting Kalamazoo to 21.7 percent shooting. Trine also held a 51-25 advantage in rebounds.

Isabelle Clark led the Hornets with 13 points and six rebounds.

Christiana Hunt added seven points with five rebounds and two assists. Jayla Gill finished with five points.

Kalamazoo is back in action at home on Thursday, Feb. 11 with a 7 p.m. game against Olivet.
