Women's Basketball Falls at Alma

ALMA, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team was defeated 82-39 at Alma College Saturday afternoon.

Kalamazoo fell behind early and trailed 20-8 after the first quarter and 40-14 at halftime. 

Alma shot 46.2 percent overall while limiting Kalamazoo to 22.4 percent. The Scots outrebounded Kalamazoo 45-35 overall, 13-12 on the offensive end.

Laila Vincent led the Hornets with 16 points and six rebounds.

Kaelyn Arlington, Sara English and Josee Cooke each finished with five points. Arlington led the team with seven rebounds.

Kalamazoo returns home to face Saint Mary's College on Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 6 p.m.
