Women's Golf Defeated by Three Strokes in Season Opener

LIMA, Ohio - The Kalamazoo College women's golf team lost a dual match by three strokes, 351-354, to Bluffton University at Hidden Creek Golf Club on Monday. The match was put together quickly following the cancelation of the weekend's Polar Bear Classic due to weather. 

Sydney Pickell led the Hornets with a career-best 75. Ella Szczublewski also shot a career-best 79.

Marissa Kovac shot 89, while Natalie Martinez closed out the top four with a 111. 

Jasmine Anciso came in at 123.

The women's golf team is scheduled to be back in action Sept. 9-10 at the Kyle Campbell Memorial Invitational hosted by Olivet.
