KALAMAZOO, Mich. – On a day dedicated to the first four-year senior class to play for the Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse program, the Hornets honored their seniors in the best way possible with a 12-7 win over Adrian College Thursday evening at MacKenzie Field.

Tied 2-2 after ten minutes of play with both teams still trying to establish consistent possession in the game, the Hornets took control late in the first half as Caroline Mundell and Nicole Huff tacked on a goal apiece in the final four minutes of the half giving K a 4-2 lead at halftime.

Beginning the second half, the teams traded two goals apiece in the first six minutes, but it was a 4-0 run beginning at the 20:47 mark on Huff's second goal of the night which proved to be the difference for the Hornets down the stretch.

Hannah Meyers led the Kalamazoo attack with three goals while Vethania Stavropoulos, Amanda Moss and Huff each added two goals.

Anna Dairaghi, Nicole Prentice and Allia Howard were tenacious picking up loose balls as they each grabbed three ground balls. Katie Johnson made six saves in goal while also picking up three ground balls.

With the win, Kalamazoo ends the regular season with a 4-4 MIAA record, matching its conference win total from 2016.
