KALAMAZOO, Mich. – After closing out the season with two wins at home solidifying a 4-4 conference season, the Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team had three players named to All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association teams Wednesday afternoon by league coaches.

Katie Johnson earned her second consecutive selection to the MIAA's First Team while Amanda Moss and Nicole Huff were each named to the conference's Second Team.

Johnson, a junior from Okemos, was a steady presence in goal for the Hornets all season long saving 44.7 percent of the shots she faced in 2017. In conference, Johnson recorded the second-highest save percentage (47.6) and surrendered 9.38 goals against per game. Johnson was named the league's Defensive Player of the Year in 2016.

Huff, a senior from Paw Paw, was a dominating presence in midfield for the Hornets in 2017 and did some of her best work on draws, recording 55 draw controls, good for fifth in the league and a team high. On the attack she scored a team-high 25 goals and also dished out two assists. Her pace in midfield allowed her to track opposing players and cause a team-high 16 turnovers. She also led Hornet field players with 32 ground balls. This is Huff's first All-MIAA honor.

Moss, a sophomore and Bloomfield Hills native, used her quickness and shiftiness to recorded 33 total points (23 goals, 10 assists) for K, a team high. She was highly efficient on the attack taking 45 shots and scoring on 51.1 percent of her attempts. She, like Huff, also made her presence felt on the defensive side of the field causing 13 turnovers and picking up 30 ground balls. This is Moss's first All-MIAA selection.
