KALAMAZOO, Mich. – For the second time this season, Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse player Rachel Madar has been named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week.
Madar, a freshman from DeWitt, has emerged as a dynamic scoring threat for the Hornets this season. In the team's 15-13 loss to Montevallo this week she scored five goals, her third game of five or more goals this season. In each of her six career games she has scored at least three goals.
She leads her team with 27 goals and 29 points, both of which are good for second most in the MIAA. Madar also leads Kalamazoo and the league in draw controls with a total of 46.
The women's lacrosse team will kick off MIAA play on April 3rd as it hosts Hope at 7:00 p.m.
