Women's Lacrosse falls to Albion

ALBION, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team fell 11-6 to Albion in chilly conditions on Tuesday evening. 

After Albion took an early lead, K narrowed the gap to 3-2 with Rachel Madar's second goal of the game with 15 minutes left in the first half. Albion, however, closed the half with three unanswered goals to go ahead 6-2.

Amanda Moss found the back of the net with 19 minutes remaining in the second half to bring the Hornets to within three goals at 7-4, but Albion rattled off four straight goals to put the contest out of reach.

Albion outshot K 36-14 and the Hornets were also hurt by 34 turnovers in the contest.

Rachel Madar led K in goals with three, draw controls with four, and caused turnovers with three and she also chipped in an assist. Sam Jacobsen also had a goal and an assist for Kalamazoo.

Katie Johnson was outstanding in goal for K with 19 saves.

The Hornets will host Trine on Saturday, April 21st at 1 p.m.
