Women's Lacrosse downs Olivet

OLIVET, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team took down Olivet 19-3 on the road on Thursday afternoon.

The Hornets opened the game with nine unanswered goals in the first ten minutes. After Olivet scored its first goal, K closed the half with three more goals to lead 12-1 at the half.

Kalamazoo found the net six straight times to begin the second half and reach at least 18 goals for the second game in a row.

K outshot the Comets, who played with only nine players, 29-3 and dominated on draw controls 20-2.

Rachel Madar had a career-high 15 draw controls while also scoring six goals to extend her program record season total to 65.

Amanda Moss scored three goals and set a new single-game program record with five assists in the contest. Lilly Baumann found the back of the net five times and also handed two assists and scooped up seven ground balls.

Kalamazoo will wrap up the season on Saturday, April 28th at Adrian at 1 p.m.
