Women's Lacrosse Wins at Concordia Chicago

RIVER FOREST, Ill. - The Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team won 8-6 at Concordia Chicago on Saturday.

The host Cougars scored the first goal of the game and led 4-1 after the first quarter. Kalamazoo scored three times in the second quarter to tie it before a Cougar goal made it 5-4 going into halftime. The Hornets scored three goals in the third quarter to take a 7-5 lead. Concordia scored early in the fourth to make it a 7-6 game, but a Kalamazoo goal with 3:07 left sealed the 8-6 win.

Each team had 26 shots in the game, with Kalamazoo holding a 12-9 edge in shots on goal.

Hannah Heeren led the Hornets with five goals and one assist. Rose Bogard scored three goals while causing four turnovers.

Jordan Flink was credited with three saves in goal.

Kalamazoo (4-1) returns to action next Saturday, March 19 at Hanover.
