Women's Lacrosse Defeats Concordia Wisconsin

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team defeated Concordia Wisconsin 18-6 at MacKenzie Field Sunday afternoon.

The visiting Falcons scored the first two goals of the game and held a 3-2 lead with 2:09 left in the second quarter. Kalamzoo scored three goals in less than a minute and took a 5-4 lead into halftime.

Kalamazoo scored five goals in the first nine minutes of the third quarter and led 11-5 at the end of three. K led 12-6 with 12:37 left in the fourth before scoring the final six goals of the game for the 18-6 final.

Kalamazoo outshot Concordia 38-24, including 30-16 on goal.

Rose Bogard broke the school record for points with 11, scoring nine goals with two assists. She also had 12 ground balls, nine draw controls and four caused turnovers.

Hannah Heeren added seven goals with four ground balls, five draw controls and three caused turnovers.

Mackenzie Maiorano scored a goal with four assists. Natalie Maki added a goal with three assists.

Jordan Flink made 10 saves in goal.

Kalamazoo returns to action at home next Sunday, April 3 with an 11 a.m. contest against Mount Union.
