Women's Lacrosse Wins in Double Overtime at Alma

ALMA, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team won 15-14 in double overtime at Alma on Wednesday.

Kalamazoo led 7-5 at halftime and 11-9 after the third quarter, but a couple late goals by the Scots evened the score at 14-14 and sent the game into overtime.

With 1:55 remaining in the second overtime, Natalie Maki converted a free position attempt into the game-winning goal for the Hornets.

Alma held a 37-36 edge in shots, with each team recording 30 shots on goal. Kalamazoo had an 18-16 edge in draw controls.

Rose Bogard led the Hornets with eight goals, two assists, five ground balls, eight draw controls and four caused turnovers.

Hannah Heeren scored three goals with two ground balls and three draw controls.

Lily Rogowski was also credited with five ground balls.

Jordan Flink made 16 saves in goal.

Kalamazoo returns home to face Hope on Saturday, April 30 at 4 p.m.
