Women's Lacrosse Wins MIAA Opener Over Adrian

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team won its MIAA opener 15-3 over Adrian on Saturday.

Kalamazoo led 7-0 after the first quarter and 9-2 at halftime. Kalamazoo went up 14-2 midway through the third quarter and led 14-3 at the end of the third.

Kalamazoo outshot Adrian 27-10 overall, 19-10 on goal.

Hannah Heeren led the Hornets with four goals, two assists, six ground balls, five draw controls and three caused turnovers.

Ella Spooner also scored four goals.

Abbie Caza added three goals with three assists. Eden Schnurstein scored twice. Emma Curcuru had three caused turnovers.

Jordan Flink made seven saves in goal.

Kalamazoo is back home Tuesday, April 11, at 7 p.m. against Calvin.
