ALMA, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team went on the road Monday afternoon and defeated Alma 3-1 to earn its second conference win of the season.

K fell behind early when Amanda Mladenovski scored to give the Scots the lead just five minutes into the game. The Hornets evened up the match 12 minutes later as Libby Munoz scored to tie the score 1-1. Munoz put K ahead for good in the 64th minute, scoring her fifth goal of the season off of an assist from Madison Vallan. Josie Sibley scored the third goal of the game for Kalamazoo, finishing off an assist from Munoz.

"Road wins in the MIAA can be difficult," said Coach Bryan Goyings. "I thought our back line did a very good job limiting Alma's attacking opportunities. Libby's timely finishing put the team in a tremendous position to get three points today."

K finished the game with a 17-7 advantage in shots. Hannah Wolfe and Maddie Odom combined to earn the win in goal.

The Hornets, who improve to 2-1-0 in the conference, return home on Thursday to take on Hope at 7 p.m. at MacKenzie field.
