Women's Soccer falls to No. 1 Chicago

CHICAGO, Ill. - The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team fell to No. 1 University of Chicago 6-0 on the road Wednesday evening.

After a dramatic win against conference rival Calvin last night, K was unable to match Chicago's offensive firepower as the Maroons took 29 shots and scored three goals in the first half and another three in the second period. Hanna Watkins and Julia Lodeon led Chicago with two goals apiece. Libby Munoz, Sarah George, and Raechel Schmidt all registered shots on goal to lead the Hornets.

Maddie Odom and Hannah Wolfe combined to make nine saves in goal for Kalamazoo.

The Hornets will return to conference play on Saturday as they travel to Saint Mary's to take on the Belles at 12 p.m.
