GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College women's swimming and diving team competed in the final day of the 2013 Calvin Winter Invitational inside Calvin's Venema Aquatic Center.

In the 200 Medley Relay, the Kalamazoo team of Christina Park, Ellen Neveux, Colleen Orwin, and Tristyn Edsall finished eighth out of 19 with a time of 1:49.30.

Lauren Seroka finished third in the 500 Freestyle with a time of 5:06.62. The race was over two seconds faster than her race in the prelims on Sat. morning.

Kalamazoo placed two in the top eight in the 100 Butterfly. Orwin finished in fifth place while Miranda Doepker finished eighth.

In the 100 freestyle, Edsall finished third with a time of 53.16.

"We had a lot of breakthrough performances today," Kalamazoo Head Coach Kathy Milliken said. "A couple of our first years had great swims. Both Tristyn [Edsall] and Colleen [Orwin] had B-Cut swims today. We are moving in the right direction."

The B-Cut times Milliken speaks of are in the 50 Freestyle for Edsall and the 200 Butterfly for Orwin. Kalamazoo will take its training trip to Florida over break.
