Five named women's swim and dive All-MIAA

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Following the conclusion of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Swimming and Diving Championships this past Saturday, Tristyn Edsall, Molly Logsdon, Colleen Orwin, Christina Park and Madeline Woods were each named to the All-MIAA team.

Edsall, a native of Kentwood, Mich., placed first in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:04.35. She also was a member of the MIAA record-setting 200 medley relay and the MIAA champion 400 medley relay. This is the fourth consecutive season Edsall's been named All-MIAA. She was named the MIAA most valuable swimmer at the 2014-15 championships.

Logsdon, a sophomore from Berkley, Mich. is appearing on the All-MIAA team for the first time in her career. She placed second in the 100 breaststroke behind Edsall with a time of 1:04.78. She also placed second in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:24.16.

Orwin, last season's most valuable swimmer and a Portage, Mich. product, placed first in three individual races at the championships including the 200 IM (2:06.41), the 400 IM (4:27.21) and the 200 butterfly (2:04.41). She also was a member of the MIAA record-setting 200 medley relay and the MIAA champion 400 medley relay. 2017 marks a perfect 4-for-4 being named All-MIAA during her career.

Park, a senior from Northbrook, Ill., finished as high as second in two individual events at the championships including the 100 butterfly (57.20) and the 100 backstroke (57.97). In the relays, she helped set the 200 medley relay record and also swam the 400 medley championship relay. This is the second time in Park's career she's been named All-MIAA.

Representing the divers, Woods, an Ann Arbor Huron product, finished second in not only the 1-meter dive (419.95) but also the 3-meter dive (423.15). This is the junior's third appearance on the All-MIAA team.
