NORFOLK, Va. – Five members of the Kalamazoo College women's swimming and diving team were recognized by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America as Scholar All-Americans for their high level of academic and athletic achievement during the 2016-17 season.

Tristyn Edsall, Ellen Neveux, Colleen Orwin and Christina Park were recognized as Scholar All-Americans while Madeline Woods earned honorable mention honors.

In order to be eligible for the honors, student-athletes must record a minimum grade point average of 3.50. Athletes who participated in the NCAA Championships are eligible for the full Scholar All-American honor, while divers who competed in their regional qualifying events and swimmers who achieved a "B" time standard are eligible for an honorable mention award.

Kalamazoo's five honorees are among 1,951 swimmers and divers from around the country at all divisions of the NCAA, the NAIA and NJCAA to be honored for their efforts in and out of the pool in 2016-17.
