Nicki Bailey of the Kalamazoo College women's swimming and diving team was named Hornet of the Week by the Kalamazoo College Athletic Leadership Council on Tuesday.
Bailey, a sophomomre from Grand Rapids, Mich. (Forest Hills Central HS), was victorious in the one meter and three meter events in the team's meet against Davenport and Lincoln over the weekend.
So far this season, Bailey has won the 3M event in all three of Kalamazoo's meets. She has also won two of the three 1M events this year.
In her freshman season, Bailey was named All-American in the 1M event while also earning Most Valuable Diver in the MIAA. She was MIAA champion in the 3M event and finished second in the 1M.
Kalamazoo returns to action Nov. 29 - Dec. 1 at the Calvin Invitational.
