KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College Athletic Leadership Council decided Tuesday that Emily Tenniswood of the women's swimming and diving team is this week's Hornet of the Week.
Tenniswood, a freshman from Troy, Mich. (Troy HS), finished in second place in the 1000 freestyle, sixth place in the 200 butterfly and fourth place in the 200 breaststroke at the Wheaton Quad.
Her 11:09.42 in the 1000 freestyle is the second fastest time in the MIAA so far this season.
The women's swimming and diving team is back in action next Saturday, Jan. 19 when the Hornets host Hope at 1 p.m. in the final meet at the current Kalamazoo College Natatorium.
