During Milliken’s tenure, the women’s team has set 85 varsity records, while the men have recorded new marks 49 times. Those swims also accounted for new conference records 36 times and new NCAA DIII records twice. At Kalamazoo, she has coached athletes to 79 All-American performances and three individual NCAA titles. Her men’s team placed 4th at NCAAs in 2010, where she was the first female in a men’s sport to be awarded NCAA Coach of the Year honors.

The team has also performed extremely well in the classroom, earning CSCAA Team Academic Honors during all 13 of her years. She has also coached five NCAA Postgraduate scholars and many CoSIDA Academic All-Americans.

In addition to coaching, Milliken also serves as Senior Woman Administrator and Assistant Athletics Director at Kalamazoo. In this role, she heads staff and student education and enhancement opportunities. She also serves as a faculty member and aquatics director.

Milliken earned her master’s degree from Western Michigan University in 2006 and her bachelor's degree from Denison University in 1999, where she served as team captain and was a seven-time NCAA Division III All-American. Before coming to Kalamazoo, she was an assistant swim coach at Denison for three years and helped coach the women to a national title in 2001.

Milliken lives in Kalamazoo with her husband, Greg (also a collegiate swimmer), and their two children, Abby, age 8 (a club swimmer), and Jacob, age 5.
