ROYAL OAK, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Kalamazoo's Sabrina Dass its Player of the Week in women's tennis for matches played through March 1.
Dass, a freshman from Grand Blanc (Grand Blanc HS), came from behind to post a three-set victory, 2-6, 7-5, 7-6 for the clinching point at No. 2 singles in a 7-2 victory over defending College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin champion Wheaton, Ill. She also teamed up with Ania Latala for an 8-1 win at No. 3 doubles. Dass is being honored Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
