HOLLAND, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team came up just short in a 5-4 loss at Hope in the MIAA Tournament championship match on Friday.
Kalamazoo led 2-1 after doubles and led 4-3 at one point only to see top-seeded Hope win the final two matches in three sets to claim the win.
Sarah Woods and Sabrina Dass won 9-7 at one doubles while Maria Franco and Sonal Bahl won 8-4 at two.
Woods won 6-2, 6-3 at one singles while Franco won 6-2, 4-6, 6-1 at three.
Kalamazoo finishes the season 11-11 overall after finishing second in the MIAA with a 7-1 league record.
