Woods falls in round of 32

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Looking to make a deep run in the NCAA Division III Championships hosted by Kalamazoo College, Sarah Woods came up short in the singles round of 32 Thursday.

Woods, who notably was named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association's Most Valuable Player in all four years of her career, fell to Alexandra Fields of Middlebury College 6-2, 6-0.

With today's result, Woods ends the 2016 season with an overall record of 21-5. She recorded 85 singles wins in her career, and won 160 matches including doubles.
