CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team lost 7-2 to No. 38 Carleton College on Saturday at Coe College.
In addition to being ranked nationally, the Carleton Knights are ranked No. 11 in the region while Kalamazoo is currently ranked 17th in the region.
Maria Franco and Sabrina Dass earned a point for Kalamazoo with an 8-6 win at one doubles.
Franco earned Kalamazoo's second point with a 6-2, 6-2 win at one singles.
Laura Hanselman won the first set at three singles before dropping the match 4-6, 6-2, 10-8.
Kalamazoo returns to action Sunday morning with a match against Coe.
