MEDINA, Ohio - The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team fell 5-4 to John Carroll University on Friday.
The Blue Streaks won two of the three doubles matches, and two singles wins put John Carroll up 4-1. Kalamazoo won three straight singles matches to even the score before dropping the final match.
Alex Oswalt and Lisa Johnston earned a 9-7 win at two doubles to secure Kalamazoo's first point.
Laura Hanselman (2), Helen Pelak (4) and Oswalt (5) picked up wins in singles.
Kalamazoo returns to action on Saturday at Kenyon College.
