Women's Tennis rallies against Luther

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team bounced back from a slow start Sunday morning to pick up its second win in two days by defeating Luther 5-4 at the USTA National Campus.

Luther won all three of the doubles matches to take an early 3-0 lead over the Hornets.

Kalamazoo roared back in singles, winning five of the six matches to rally for the victory. Bella Russo clinched the win for K with a 3-6, 7-5, 10-4 nail bitter at six singles. 

Maria Franco won 6-4, 6-1 at one, Lisa Johnston was a 7-5, 7-5 winner at two, at three Maddy Winarski won 6-3, 6-4, and Alex Oswalt rounded out the K victories with a 6-1, 6-0 win at five.

Kalamazoo continues its spring break schedule tomorrow, March 26th, with a match against Loras at 1 p.m.
